Well, at least we didn't have to use the Mary Room today. Both girls were well behaived, other than being overly friendly and talkative. Helena is a wiggle worm, and her coos were mostly directed to nearby neighbors that caught her eye and smiled at her.
Here are a few of the gems heard today from our 2 year old:
- You have booger in nose mommy, Alex pick it?
- Daddy went to the potty. (This was said to the people in the pew behind us, after Tommy walked out to the vestibule with a "chatty" Helena.)
- What is this? What is that? (Pointing at everything in the pew and on the walls near us until she knew what everything was. Thankfully, Mass had not started yet.)
- Hi Boy. Look, mommy it's a boy. Hi.
- Read the book, dad. (Yes, Daddy has been shortened to Dad now and she was referring to the missal.)
- Shhhh... be quiet. (This was said to the little boy in the pew in front of us, with her little pointer finger up to her mouth.)
- Only 5 more minutes. (This was stated very loudly to those around us right before communion.)
She wore her Easter dress from last year, again. Her "princess dress," as she refers to all dresses, fit nicely too. Thankfully, it was warm enough to go without stockings because she was not going to wear them, no matter what. :)
We have a ham in the oven, and both girls are napping. My 8 miler is not going to happen today. I would rather focus my energy on my family.
Happy Easter!!!
